My experience learning English at the University

Hello!
Today I'm going to speak about my experience learning English at the University. I learned a lot, but not only about the grammar, also I learned about the interests of my classmate, their opinions, their view point, this experience was very fun because I can express my opinion and is very important to know to communicate with people in all the possible way. The English is a universal language so it will be every country in the world.
This course is very positive for us because it is a new way to interact with people from other careers and with this we can learn how to work in team and how to respect one from another.
For me It has been very difficult this year because we don’t have a lot of free time so we can’t dedicate a lot of time to the thing that we want, or to practice more this new language which is very important to develop as a health workers,  although is very complicate for me, probably I need more time for this class.
I think that in this class there are a lot of thing that we can improve, for example, there are a lot of teachers that participate in the English program but it would be good to use a common system so the students , considering that every student has a different style of learning and the other important thing is that every teacher must teach English related medicine, because this is the most important part for us, all the information that we constantly need to complement our study is in English.
This is my last blog and was very important because I can express me and comment about different topics interesting for me and I think that it is an interesting form learning English, in special grammar and vocabulary.
I tried to do good job and tried to comply with the goals to each class, for me English not is easy, but I know that is very important for me career.

My favourite singer

Hi
Today I'm going to speak about my favourite singer, Ricardo Arjona, is known around the world for his  ballads,  sings about subjects ranging from  love to social inequities.
Arjona born in Antigua, Guatemala, his father taught him to play guitar when he was seven years old; by the time he was eight Arjona was writing his own songs. He decided to become a professional musician, and he moved to Mexico City to pursue the greater opportunities available there, released his first album, "Let Me Say I Love You" in 1988, his second album was “Jesus verb, not noun” a definite consolidation as composer and singer, his next album "Stories" got Double Platinum Disc in Argentina, the album was the most sold in history on the Latin market for some Central American countries; but is still not known internationally, his work has found widespread popularity among Spanish-speaking audiences around the world. His album "Night Animal" landed on the Billboard Latin pop charts in 1993, hitting the number-one position in 2000.
In 2002 Arjona released Santo Pecado, a highly personal effort that chronicled, among other things, his breakup with his wife of 12 years. The album "trademark mix of poetry and narcissism," features Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Neil Stubehhaus playing bass, Michael Landau and George Doering playing guitars, and Carlos "Junior" Cabral on piano.
In late 2005, was nominated for a 2006 Grammy in the Latin Pop Album category. Ricardo Arjona is already a great artist of latin music, knowing how to combine good lyrics with excelent melodies.
My favourite song is "The problem", but I also like "When", "Tell me who", "Minutes", "It hurts", the true is I love all. I hope they hear it because it is excellent and beautiful. His official Website is http://www.arjona.com, I always visit this website, I hope that you listen to their songs.
I hope you like.

Dealing with stress at work

Hello, I’m going to speak about dealing with stress at the university

Stress is a feeling that's created when we react to particular events, the events that provoke stress are called stressors, and they cover a whole range of situations — everything from outright physical danger to making a class presentation or taking a semester's worth of your toughest subject.

In my life, my stressor is the university, because a lot of test work, exhibitions, etc, all this takes up most of my time and causes stress symptoms such as headache, discouragement, stomach ache.

To reduce the stress, the weekend I go out with my friends or my boyfriend, going to cinema, eating, shopping mall or I just stay at home watching a movie, these methods to combat stress have been very useful, because they serve to forget for a moment the stress that trigger the university.

The university is not easy, so I recommend you take some time to relax, have fun, enjoy and then continue with the studies, I hope you follow my advice and good luck in their studies and combat stress, I recommend listening to music, go for a walk to a park or just something that never fails, make up the hours of sleep

Stress can be transformed into a serious illness; we can control and make our life easier and entertaining, find your favorite hobby and share it with your friends.

Regards!

Brain and Learning

Today I’m going to speak about the text “Understanding the Brain: The Birth of a Learning Science” chapter 6 “Dispelling Neuromyths”.
In this text mentions that:
“Some physiological phenomena that take place during brain development can, indeed, leads to beliefs that the critical learning stages occur between birth and age three. There is then a steady decline until age 10”, also says that in the early years of a child is when he is most capable of learning
These affirmations are very impressive for me and very important for my career, I think that is completely real this phrases, because a child is capable of learning in very little time big thinks, when a child start to speak (between 1 – 2 years) is capable to learning many languages and faster that a adult, in this case is show the capacity to learning of a child.
I’m completely agree with this texts, also says “That very young child must be constantly stimulated in their first two to three years in order to strengthen their learning capacities for subsequent life” and this two affirmations be supplemented, because the child have physiologically the capacities for learning but for development this capacities is necessary an adequate stimulation, for example, gymnastics for newborns and stimulating music in tape recorded and CD players attached above the baby’s bed, this element an increase in the connections between neurons (synapses) and support skill development and learning capacity.
This was the idea most important for me, because in this moment (childhood) is when started all, is very important a correct stimulation for the correct development.
That all, regards

A healthy life style. Is it possible? How?

Hello, I'm going to speak about the healthy life. This topic is very important because Obesity is the most important disease today, especially in the children, is necessary to find the prevention and treatment of this disease.
Is necessary the promotion of healthy life in the school, because the overweight was present in early age, is essential monitored from children.
The exercise is essential at all ages, from children to seniors, not only for a healthy life, also increase energy, a healthy diet and exercise every day are the best way for of being and feeling good.
Have a healthy life is absolute possible, but require constant care body and mind, getting plenty of exercise, having regular health checkups, and eating right are good ways to remain in good physical condition.
Just adding a little movement to your life can reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes, prevent osteoporosis and fractures, reduce stress, enhance self esteem, improve mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, reduce blood pressure, cholesterol and increase longevity. Even if you opt for small changes and a more modest weight loss, you can see the benefits are still pretty good.
To lead a healthy life you should turn off the TV and do something a little more physical with your family, walk more.
Eating a healthy diet is another part of the healthy lifestyle, not only can a clean diet help with weight management, it can also improve your health and quality of life as you get older, eat more fruit, sneak in more veggies, if you eat full-fat dressing, switch to something lighter and you'll automatically eat less calories, eat low-fat or fat-free dairy.
Drastic changes almost always lead to failure. Making small changes in how you live each day can lead to big rewards.
Sleeping right, having a positive outlook about life and having a balanced life are also the necessary components of a healthy lifestyle.
Living a healthy lifestyle takes discipline. You must make up your mind and choose things that are good for you and your loved ones. It comes down to being committed to do what is good for your body, mind and spirit.
Good luck!

My being was totally confused at that time, we left immediately the Copiapo clinic where mom was, on arrival we entered a beautiful room where my mom. A little over time the nurse comes with it, my brother, I look and I still remember, it was so small, with beautiful black eyes, my mother could give it to hold him in doing so he became to mourn and I got really scared and I returned to my mother, after 2 days he was home. Diego, my brother currently lives in Copiapo,
I lived with him until age 13 before coming to study in Santiago. Today he is my best friend

My brother is the most special of my life, nobody understands me as him, is the better thing and I love it with all my heart.
